Our final scheduled 150th anniversary activity was, in many ways, the most meaningful. We sent a message of love to the members of our church 50 years in the future via our own Dobbins Memorial United Methodist
Church Time Capsule. Items sent ahead to the next generation included writings by members, copies of church newsletters, a disk of pictures from this website, Dobbins shirt, Dobbins Christmas ornament, and many
other items which will tell them about us.
We pray that this time capsule will be a precious link from one generation to the next as our church celebrates its 200th anniversary in the year 2055.
Following extensive renovation made possible largely through the estate of Reba Parker, we also rededicated our parsonage as a home for our Pastor and his family.
